Groups

The
Groups
view displays the department groups created in the
Workcloud Communication PTT Pro Management Portal
and the Personal and Member groups created by users. Administrators use the
Workcloud Communication PTT Pro Management Portal
to create or modify groups, including adding or removing users. Users can create and modify Personal and Department groups.
Groups include the Originate and Receive attributes for group members. These attributes are retrieved from the
PTT Pro Server
. When a user sends a message to a group, the message is received by group members with the Receive attribute set to True. If the message is sent when a user is logged out, the message is added to the conversation when the user logs in.
In a
Workcloud Communication Profile Manager
environment, the Originate and Receive attributes dynamically change when the user selects a role. When the user selects
Workcloud Communication PTT Pro
roles, the Originate and Receive attributes are set to True. Unselected
Workcloud Communication PTT Pro
roles have Originate set to True and Receive set to False. For more information, refer to the
Workcloud Communication Profile Manager Administrator Guide
.
When the membership of a group is modified, the changes are reflected in ZEMS as follows:
  • If the user whose membership was modified is logged into
    PTT Pro for Android
, the change is reflected immediately, including the Originate and Receive attributes.
  • If the user is not logged in to the
    PTT Pro for Android
, the change is reflected when the ZEMS server synchronizes with the
    PTT Pro Server
. Go to ZEMS Data Synchronization for more information about synchronization.
If you assign a manager to a region or a child region that includes a site, the manager can view the groups and send broadcast messages to the groups of that site.
You can select a group to view the group members and if there are incoming webhooks associated with the group.
