Issue: Settings are Lost or Ignored

Condition

Some programming parameters are set incorrectly.

Cause: Unsaved Printer/Format Settings Lost

Printer settings were changed without saving them.

Remedy: Save Printer/Format Settings

Internal Printer Support
  1. The ZPL
    ^JU
    command was not used to save your configuration before turning the printer off. Cycle the printer OFF and then back ON to verify settings have been saved.

Cause: Incorrect Label Syntax

The label format/form commands or commands sent directly to the printer have syntax errors or have been used incorrectly.
  • An internal command or other action turned off the ability to change the parameter.
  • An internal command or other action changed the parameter back to the default setting.

Remedy: Save Printer/Format Settings

Internal Printer Support
  • Reset printer settings. Sometimes it is helpful to reset the printer to factory default.
  • Update printer firmware in case of memory corruption.
  • Check the label format syntax.
