The printer will report a Ribbon Low to the operator to let them get a new ribbon cartridge to continue printing.

Cause: The Printer Monitors Ribbon Level
The printer has calculated that the ribbon cartridge has only 10% of the ribbon left in the cartridge. The ribbon low value can be changed by programming.
Remedy: Get More Ribbon Cartridges to Print
Operator Action
Get new media ready to install or re-order now.
