Performing a System Update Using a USB Drive
Update the operating system on the device using a USB drive.
Go to the Zebra Support & Downloads web site at
zebra.com/support
and download the appropriate System Update package to a host computer.
Do not remove the USB drive during system update. Damage to device can occur.
USB drive must have FAT32 format.
Install the USB drive into the host computer USB port.
Copy the System Update zip file to the root of a USB drive.
Properly eject the USB drive from host computer and remove the USB drive.
Remove the dust cover from the back of the device.
Insert the USB drive into the USB port.
Press the power button until the menu appears.
Select
Restart
.
Press and hold the programmable button until the Zebra logo screen appears.
The System Recovery screen appears.
Press the programmable button to navigate to
apply upgrade from USB drive
.
Press the power button.
Use the programmable button to navigate to the System Update zip file.
Press the power button.
The System Update installs and then the device returns to the Recovery screen.
Press the power button to reboot the device.
