Main Battery Charging

Before using the device for the first time, charge the main battery until the green Charging/Notification light-emitting diode (LED) remains lit. Use a cable or a cradle with the appropriate power supply to charge the device.
There are four batteries available:

The device’s Charging/Notification LED indicates the battery charging status in the device. The standard battery charges from fully depleted to 80% in less than 1 hour and 20 minutes. The extended battery charges from fully depleted to 80% in less than 1 hour and 50 minutes..
Charge batteries at room temperature with the device in Sleep mode.

The device is not charging. The device is not inserted correctly in the cradle or connected to a power source. The charger/cradle is not powered.
Slow Blinking Amber (1 blink every 4 seconds)
The device is charging.
Slow Blinking Red (1 blink every 4 seconds)
The device is charging, but the battery is at the end of its useful life.
Solid Green
Charging complete.
Solid Red
Charging is complete, but the battery is at the end of its useful life.
Fast Blinking Amber (2 blinks/second)
Charging error, e.g.:
  • Temperature is too low or too high
  • Charging has gone on too long without completion (typically eight hours).
Fast Blinking Red (2 blinks/second)
Charging error but the battery is at the end of its useful life., e.g.:
  • Temperature is too low or too high
