This parameter enables a virtual tether beacon between the scanner and cradle. After enabling this parameter, select a distance option with the Tether Distance Options parameter.
If the paired cradle loses power, the scanner does not sound a tether alarm.
The delay before the alarm activates
Depending on the device, a virtual tether alarm can include audio, LED, illumination, and haptic. Each alarm type can be chosen, allowing for the creation of custom alarms. If the scanner is in Night ModeThe audio beeper does not sound. The scanner vibrates when the alarm activates.
Choose one of the following:
Enabled: A Virtual Tether alarm can be set on the scanner.
Disabled: - A Virtual Tether alarm cannot be set on the scanner.
Beacon Virtual Tether: Enables a beacon between the scanner and cradle.
Set the Beacon Virtual Tether Distance parameter when you select this option.
The beacon does not activate if the cradle loses power.
The delay before the beacon alarm activation does not apply to this selection.
