The Code 39 and Codabar symbologies typically contain small intercharacter gaps. Due to various barcode printing technologies, these gaps can sometimes exceed the maximum allowed size, preventing the scanner from decoding the symbol. If there is a decoding issues, scan the Large Intercharacter Gaps parameter to enable the scanner to tolerate these out-of-specification barcodes.
