As of Zebra Workstation Connect v8.1, the ability for an administrator to configure the SIP is deprecated. This feature remains supported in v8.1, however, will not receive further updates, and is scheduled for removal in a future release.
Because there is only one default SIP configuration, Zebra Workstation Connect achieves the desired result by saving the default SIP on docking and changing it to the administrator-selected value. On undocking, Zebra Workstation Connect restores the saved default SIP. This provides a SIP optimized for desktop use while docked and one for mobile use when undocked.
