Using COPE Mode

Using COPE Mode

COPE mode (Work profile for mixed-use company-owned devices) refers to applications on the mobile device categorized into work, personal, or global.
While in COPE mode, work applications are accessible when using Workstation Connect, while applications categorized as personal are not. Global applications (for example, Settings) are also available for use in COPE mode.
COPE mode is supported for Zebra Workstation Connect only on 6490 and 5430 platforms on Android 13 devices.
The following Workstation Connect features are not supported while in COPE mode:
  • The Reset Configuration option, which allows resetting managed configuration to an out-of-box state.
  • SIP (Soft Input Panel), which enables configuration on a secondary display (via administrator configuration).
  • Enabling Persistence over ER, an administrative feature that determines whether Workstation Connect administrator configurations remain on the device following an Enterprise reset.
  • Shortcuts to local files.
  • Developer interface support.
