Darkness Control Switch

This switch allows you to modify the darkness setting to accommodate the normal minor variations that exist across media and printers. This switch control reduces the need to change the printer's program settings or driver settings as you change printing supplies.

Darkness control switch
The control switch has three settings:
Position
Setting
Effect
Left
Low (default)
No effect. Makes no change to the actual Darkness setting as set by programming or driver setting.
Middle
Medium
Increases ZPL darkness by three levels. If the printer is set to the default darkness level of 20, the actual darkness applied while printing will increase to 23.
Right
High
Increases ZPL darkness by six levels. Adds six darkness levels to the set darkness level.
Setting the Darkness too high or too low may reduce barcode readability.
