Connecting a USB Scanner

Connecting a USB Scanner

When connecting a USB scanner to the device, connect in either Simple Serial Interface (SSI) or Human Interface Device (HID) mode.
Pair the USB scanner to the device using SSI or HID.
  1. Open the access door.
  2. Route the USB cable up through the bottom of the Vehicle Dock.
  3. Connect the scanner cable USB connector to either USB port.
  4. Secure cable with cable ties.
  5. Close the access door.
  6. For SSI mode, ensure that the scanner is in SSI mode. Refer to the scanner Product Reference Guide and scan the SSI Over USB CDC barcode.
  7. For HID mode, ensure that the scanner is in HID mode. Refer to the scanner Product Reference Guide and scan the HID Keyboard barcode or perform a factory reset.
