Ethernet Switch Requirements

To configure the Connectivity Gateway using PoE, a wide variety of commercially available switches provide Zebra FIS and MV devices with the requisite power for operation in a Connectivity Gateway configuration. Select a switch that complies with the 802.3at Type 2 PoE+ standard (Class 4).

There are no additional requirements to integrate an Ethernet Switch into a Connectivity Gateway. Many commercially available Ethernet Switches allow the user to connect leader and follower devices to facilitate network communication between the devices.
