Setting Up a Modbus Device

Setting Up a Modbus Device

Set up a Modbus device and configure where results are sent to.
  1. Navigate to the
    Admin Settings
     menu from the
    Home
     screen.
  2. Click
    Modbus Config
     on the
    Admin Settings
     menu.
  3. Slide the toggle to the right to enable
    Modbus Triggering
     or
    Output via Modbus
    .
  4. Click
    Control Device
     to access controls to the Modbus device.
  5. Select the Modbus device from the menu and click
    Start
     to begin controlling the device.
  6. Click
    Stop
     to end the session or
    Delete
     to remove the device.
  7. When you are finished controlling the device, click
    Back
     to return to the
    Admin Settings
     menu.
  8. Click
    Results
     to access Modbus results and configure where results are sent to.
  9. Select the Modbus device from the menu and define a
    Holding Register
    .
  10. Click
    Apply
     to save changes and return to the
    Admin Settings
     menu.
  11. Click
    Create Device
     to configure the device information.
  12. Provide the required device information and click
    Create
     to save the information and return to the Modbus configuration menu.
  13. Click
    Monitoring
     to monitor a specific coil on the Modbus device
  14. Select a
    Modbus Device
     from the menu and enter the
    Coil Number
     to monitor.
