License operations such as acquiring and returning licenses are time-dependent. The device must be configured with the current date and time. Failing to do so can result in errors when acquiring and releasing licenses. The device time can be set automatically via the NTP server or configured manually in the
Date and Time Sync
window.
Clock Wind Back detection is enabled by default in the device firmware—any backtracking of date or time results in a license error.
