Use the RS4000 Ring Scanner to capture barcode data.

To read a barcode, a scan-enabled app is required. The device contains the DataWedge app that allows the user to enable the scanner to decode barcode data and display the barcode content.
To scan with the RS4000:
Connect the RS4000 to the device. For more information, see RS4000 Scanner.
Ensure that a scan-enabled application is loaded or DataWedge is enabled.
Press the trigger.
Aim the scan beam at the bar code.
Ensure the red scan beam covers the entire bar code. The Decode LED lights red to indicate that scanning is in process, then lights green and a beep sounds, by default, to indicate the bar code was decoded successfully.
