Configuring a Ring Scanner Parameter in DataWedge

To configure the Interleaved 2 of 5 (I2OF5) settings for the WS50 when paired with a Ring scanner, import the configured DataWedge Config file from any Android 11 device paired with Ring scanner to the WS50.
These configuration steps apply to all parameters or decoders requiring configuration in the WS50, not limited to the I2OF5 parameters settings. The same steps apply to the configuration of the Ring scanner parameters.
  1. On the Android 11 device, open
    Settings
    Bluetooth Pairing Utility
    .
  2. Scan and pair with the Ring scanner.
  3. Ensure the Ring scanner is connected to the Android 11 device.
  4. Enable
    I2OF5
    and
    Send ENTER key
    in DataWedge:
    1. Open
      DataWedge
      .
    2. Select
      Profile0
      .
    3. Select
      Configure scanner settings
      .
    4. Select
      Decoders
      .
    5. Select
      Interleaved 2of5
      .
    6. Select the
      Enabled
      checkbox.
    7. Touch
      Back
      until you get to the
      Profile0
      screen.
    8. Select
      Basic data formatting
      .
    9. Select the
      Send ENTER key
      checkbox.
  5. On the Android 11 device, open
    DataWedge
    , go to
    Settings
    Export
    .
  6. Navigate to
    Sdcard/Android/Data/com.symbol.datawedge/files/datawedge.db
    and export the
    datawedge.db
    file to a local computer.
  7. From the local computer, import
    datawedge.db
    file to the WS50 at the location
    /sdcard/Android/Data/com.symbol.datawedge/files/autoimport
    .
  8. In the WS50, open
    DataWedge
    , go to
    Import Configuration
    .
  9. Pair with a Ring scanner.
  10. Launch Chromium and scan a I2OF5 barcode.
    The captured data appears in the text field.
