Configuring the Device to Use a Static IP Address

By default, the device is configured to use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) to assign an Internet protocol (IP) address when connecting to a wireless network.
  1. Go to
    Settings

    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Touch
    Network & Internet
    .
  4. On Android 11, touch
    Wi-Fi
    .
  5. If configuring the connected network, touch The edit pencil to edit the network details.
  6. Slide the Wi-Fi switch to the
    On
    position.
  7. In the network dialog box, select and touch a network.
  8. If configuring the connected network, touch to edit the network details and then touch the down arrow to hide the keyboard.

    IP settings
    and select
    Static
    .
  11. In the
    IP address
    text box, enter an IP address for the device.
  12. If required, in the
    Gateway
    text box, enter a gateway address for the device.
  13. If required, in the
    Network prefix length
    text box, enter the prefix length.
