Setting Touch Panel Mode

The display is able to detect touches using a finger, a fiber-tipped stylus, a plastic stylus, or a gloved finger.
Standard and Premium SKUs feature an advanced auto-adjusting touchscreen that dynamically detects fingers, gloves, and styluses. On these devices, touch settings are fully automated. The
Finger Only
 mode is not available on Standard and Premium models.
A glove can be made of medical latex, leather, cotton, or wool. For optimal performance, use a Zebra-certified stylus.
Follow these steps to manually configure the touch panel mode on Value and Essentials SKUs:
  1. Go to

  3. Touch
    Touch panel mode
    .
  4. Select one of the following options:
    • Finger Only
       (Value and Essentials SKUs only) to use a finger (no gloves) on the screen.
    • Stylus, Glove, and Finger
       to use a stylus (plastic stylus only), a gloved finger, or a finger on the screen.
