Triggering with the PLC Device

Navigate to the

Configuration

screen using the left menu on the

Home

page.

Ensure that

Run Mode

is set to

Trigger

. Select

Trigger Mode

and click

Update

.

Switching run mode erases the scan data.

After you have created your PLC device, navigate to the

PLC Configuration

screen from the

Admin Settings

menu and click

Monitoring Tag

.

Select the PLC device from the menu and enter the tag's name to monitor and the value for the trigger.

The PLC triggers the Connectivity Gateway when a tag matches the specified value in the TRIGGER WHEN EQUAL TO (INT2) field and when the PLC tag value changes back to the specified trigger value from another value. Program the PLC to keep the tag total low as a part of its results handling procedure or enable Reset after Trigger to reset the trigger tag to 0 when enabled.
