Configuring Magnification

Magnification allows you to zoom in on the screen, making content larger and easier to see.
To configure how magnification works on your device, follow these steps.
  1. To enable a shortcut for the magnifier, tap
    Magnification shortcut
    and select one of the following options:
    • Accessibility button
      - Enables a floating button on the screen that you can tap to activate magnification.
    • Volume keys
      - Allows you to press and hold both volume keys simultaneously to activate magnification.
    • Advanced
      Triple tap
      - Allows you to triple-tap the screen to activate magnification.
  2. To select whether to magnify the full screen, a portion of the screen, or to switch between these modes, tap
    Magnification type
    .
    1. To magnify the entire screen, tap
      Magnify full screen
      .
    2. To magnify a part of the screen within a window, tap
      Magnify part of screen
      .
    3. To enable switching between full and partial screen magnification, tap
      Switch between full and partial screen
      .
      This option displays a settings icon A gear icon. in the bottom-right corner of the magnified area. Tap this icon to switch between magnification types at any time.
  3. To have the magnifier automatically follow the text cursor as you type, enable the
    Magnify typing
    toggle.
  4. To keep magnification active when switching between apps, enable the
    Keep on while switching apps.
    toggle.
  5. To zoom in and control the magnified view:
    1. Activate magnification using your chosen shortcut.
    2. Tap anywhere on the screen to enter the magnified view.
    3. Drag two fingers apart or together to adjust the zoom level.
    4. Use the shortcut again to deactivate magnification.
  6. To zoom in temporarily (full screen mode only):
    1. Ensure your magnification type is set to full screen.
    2. Activate magnification using your chosen shortcut.
    3. Touch and hold anywhere on the screen.
    4. While holding, drag your finger to navigate around the screen.
    5. Lift your finger to exit temporary magnification.
