Taking Photos

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen and touch
    Camera
    Image of camera icon. to access the Camera application. Photo mode is the standard mode that displays.

  2. To switch between the rear camera and front camera (if available), touch an icon depicting rear and front camera switching.
  3. Frame the subject on the screen.
  4. While using the rear camera, touch a specific area on the screen to focus the camera. A yellow box appears to mark the focus point. Alternatively, enable AutoFocus Animation in the Settings menu. This setting makes a yellow focus box automatically display while the camera focuses, then shrink and disappear to show focus is complete.
  5. To turn the Flash on, touch the Image of the Flash icon.   icon.
  6. To zoom in or out, the following options are available:
    • Tap the
      0.6x
      zoom button to toggle
      0.6x
      (premium device only).
    • Tap the
      1x
      zoom button to toggle between
      1x
      and
      2x
      .
    • Press and hold the
      1x
      zoom icon until the zoom slider displays. Slide the slider to the desired zoom.
    • Touch and hold an area with two fingers, then spread them apart to zoom in or pinch them together to zoom out.
  7. Touch Image of camera shutter button. to take a photo. A shutter sound emits.
The last photo displays as a thumbnail in the lower-left corner.
