The programmable button on the scanner can be programmed to one of the following behaviors when the scanner is in Hand-Held Mode.
When the scanner is in Hand-Held mode, the programmable button can be programmed to enact one of the following behaviors.
Apple Show/Hide Keypad (cordless scanner only): When connecting to an Apple device in HID Keyboard Mode, pressing the programmable button shows or hides the keypad.
Apple features must be enabled for this behavior to work.
Secondary Trigger: Pressing the programmable button initiates a decode session.
Toggle Lamp Mode: Pressing the programmable button toggles Lamp Mode on and off.
Toggle Automatic RFID: Pressing the programmable button toggles Automatic RFID reading.
This toggle state is reset when the scanner is inserted into a stand/Presentation cradle. The initial state upon removing the scanner from the stand/Cradle is determined by parameter 641, RFID Automatic Presentation Mode.
Disable: Pressing the programmable button does not trigger any behavior.
Page Cradle: The programmable button pages a connected cradle. Press and hold the programmable button for one second to activate.
