This parameter selects the method used to detect motion and activate a decode session.

IR Detect: A decode session is triggered when the infrared proximity sensor detects a barcode.

Object Detect: A decode session is triggered when the imaging sensor detects a barcode. Illumination increases, and decoding is enabled. Object detection mode requires some illumination to detect an object, such as a barcode.
