FIPS stands for Federal Information Processing Standards. It was developed to validate and record specific requirements for various cybersecurity matters and define which are acceptable. Enable this option to comply with FIPS 140-2.
The FIPS option will only show for printers that support it.
To enable FIPS 140-2:
From the Printer Dashboard, tap
Settings
.
Tap
General
.
The General Settings screen appears.
Tap the
Toggle
button in FIPS to activate this feature.
Restart the printer for the settings to take effect.
When FIPS is enabled, the setting is displayed on the General Information screen. See General Information Screen.
