Wireless Settings

Wireless is the term used to describe any computer network where there is no physical wired connection between sender and receiver. Instead, the network is connected by radio waves and/or microwaves to maintain communications.
Within the Wireless Settings menus, you can change, save, and apply the following elements:
  • Turn Wireless On/Off
  • Hostname
  • IP Addressing Protocol
  • Power Save Mode
  • Client ID
  • Client ID Type
  • IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway (applicable when Permanent IP Addressing protocol is selected).
  • ESSID
  • Security Mode
  • Wireless Band
  • Country
  • Channel List
    WEP security mode has been removed from Link-OS v6 firmware, but is still applicable in Link-OS v5.x and earlier.
  • Save settings to a file.
  • Apply settings to the printer.

to apply the settings. You may also choose to:
  • Save the settings to a file by selecting the checkbox.
