Wi-Fi and Ethernet Network Connection Setup

The following procedure details the steps required to connect the printer either via Wi-Fi or through an Ethernet network..
  1. Launch the
    Printer Setup Utility
     application on your device.
  2. Tap
    Connect New Printer
    .
  3. Tap
    Wi-Fi and Ethernet Network
    .
    If connecting to your printer via Wi-Fi is unsuccessful, it might be due to your Wi-Fi being turned off. In this case, you will be directed to the Confirm Network is Enabled screen.
    1. Tap
      Open Settings
       to navigate to your mobile device's settings.
    2. Enable Wi-Fi on your mobile device.
  4. At the Check Network Connection prompt, confirm that both your printer and device are on the same network or subnet before searching for the printer.
  5. Select your preferred method to find the printer.
    If you want to find your printer by...
    Then...
    Search By Network
    1. Tap
      Search Printers
      .
    2. Select the printer you wish to connect to from the Available Printers list.
      1. If Diagnostic Mode is detected, a prompt will display, giving you the option to disable it.
    Connect Manually
    Enter your printer's IP or DNS address, and then tap
    Connect Printer
    .
The printer dashboard displays.
