The Darkness Control setting replicates a hardware switch found on certain older printer models and is used to increase the darkness level by preset amounts.
The Darkness Control option will not show for all printers. The preferred method is to use the features seen in Print Quality Assistant to set the speed and darkness.
From the Dashboard, tap

, and then select one of the following options:
Low Darkness (+0.0, default)
Medium Darkness (+3.0)
High Darkness (+6.0)
Tap
Apply
to apply the settings. You may also choose to:
Save the settings to a file by selecting the checkbox.
Generate a test print by tapping

Setting the darkness too high or too low may reduce readability on your printed labels.
