Printer Emulations are on-printer applications that allow printers running Link-OS to use legacy languages normally associated with other printer brands. Multiple Printer Emulations (except for Virtual Device-I and Virtual Device-D, as noted previously) can be downloaded to a single printer. It is not necessary (or possible) to remove printer emulations from printers; users simply choose between command languages as needed.
A Printer Emulation can be accessed via the Emulation drop-down menu located on the Device Language screen. You can select an existing emulation from the list or have one installed. For detailed instructions on selecting an emulation, go to Select an Emulation.
