Downloading the Capability Response
To download the Capability Response from the licensing server:
Log in before entering the Zebra Licensing Server at:
zebra-licensing.flexnetoperations.com/.
Enter the Username and Password.
The
Software Licenses Portal
displays:
Click the
Devices
drop-down arrow and select
Create Device
.
On the
New Device
screen:
Enter the
ID
in the format <Part_Number>_<Serial_Number> (see Obtaining the Device ID for more details).
Enter the
Name
(same as the ID)
Do not select the
Runs license server
checkbox and leave Site Name em
Select your
Account
from the drop-down list.
Zebra (Zebra Technologies) is used as an example.
Click
Save
. Observe the
Device created successfully
screen to confirm the device is configured correctly.
Select
Action
to expand drop-down.
Next, select
Map By Activation ID
.
On the
Map by Activations IDs
screen, enter
the Activation ID
. If you have multiple IDs, ensure each ID is entered on a separate line.
Click
Validate
. Observe the
Validation successful
message to confirm that the
Activation ID
is valid.
Edit the
Quantity to Add
for all the licenses mapped to a single device.
For a standalone license, the value is 1.
Click
Save
.
Observe the
Entitlement successfully mapped
message.
Click
Action
to expand the menu and select
Download Capability Response
. The bin file is available in the
Download
folder.
After the download, verify that the device is accessible in the directory.
Click the
Devices
tab to enter the
Device
screen.
On the
Devices
screen:
Click the arrow next to the
Filter
icon to select Device ID.
Enter the
Device ID
VS40-WA50P4-2100W_ 12345678901234 and click
Search
.
Observe the device list.
Upgrading a FIS/MV Tools License
