Using the FS10 Serial Ethernet Cable

Using the FS10 Serial Ethernet Cable

This section outlines important notes when using the Serial Ethernet cable for the FS10.
Pre-setup is required.
The FS10 is not discoverable upon first use in Aurora Focus when connected to the Serial Ethernet cable (CBL-USB00200-M1200). Before configuring the Serial Ethernet cable, use the standard USB-C to USB-A (or USB-C) cable to configure the FS10 in Host mode and then reboot the device to apply any changes to the configuration.
When in Host mode, the device also supports Device mode functionality when connected to a host via USB. If no host is detected while the FS10 is connected to a USB device, the FS10 acts as a host. In this case, reboot time can take up to 2 minutes. Reboot operations may take up to 2 minutes when the FS10 is configured to USB Host mode.
Reconfiguration is required following a factory reset.
The device reverts to its default settings following a factory reset. For example, the FS10 reverts back to Device mode after a factory reset and must be reconfigured to Host mode using a USB-C to USB-A (or USB-C) cable prior to enabling the Serial Ethernet cable. For more information on performing a factory reset, go to Performing a Factory Reset.
The Serial Ethernet cable is indicated as
