Enable specific USB settings such as a HID keyboard, keystroke delay, or terminator.
USB Settings configuration options vary depending on the device. The device requires a manual reboot for USB Settings changes to take effect. If disconnection from the application occurs, reconnect using.

Description
USB Connection Mode
  • USB Accessory Connection (Host Mode) - allows the device to control connected USB peripherals. The RS232 cable for the FS80 is also able to draw power from the device.
  • PC USB Connection Mode (Device Mode) - allows direct connection to a PC or host device.
The default for the FS80 is Host mode; the default mode for the FS10 is Device mode. For additional information on using these modes with specialized cables, refer to the FS80 Fixed Industrial Scanner Product Reference Guide or the FS10 Fixed Industrial Scanner Product Reference Guide.
USB Device Mode Options
  • USB CDC-Serial - enable USB CDC-Serial Control by clicking the checkbox and selecting the control terminator and trigger string.
  • USB HID Keyboard - enable HID Keyboard by clicking the checkbox and selecting the country type, keystroke delay, and special key.
  • Automation Wedge - enable SSI communication over USB by clicking the checkbox.
