Defining and Using the AUTOEXEC.ZPL Function

An
AUTOEXEC.ZPL
file function is supported by the printer. It functions in much the same way as the
AUTOEXEC.BAT
file in MS-DOS.
The
AUTOEXEC.ZPL
file function can be used for setting up various parameters at the time the printer is powered up (such as
^COY
,
^LL
,
^CWf
). The function can also be recalled at any time after power up.
This file must initially be in the extra EPROM, FLASH, or PCMCIA memory. When the printer is powered on, it looks to the extra memory site for the stored format called
AUTOEXEC.ZPL
. If found, the contents of the file are automatically executed as a stored format.
